The Tunisian newspaper Al Sharaouk has a heart wrenching story about a 19-year-old woman named Lamia. She stated that she became religious in 2011 after watching Islamic programming. According to the interview:
“Lamia became convinced that a woman may participate in the jihad to eliminate the enemies of Islam by making her body recreational for the men after each and every raid, so that her body became their possession.”
When war broke out in Syria, she agreed to be sent to Syria to help the jihadis “fight and kill infidels” and make Allah’s word supreme. She stated she believed that:
“women who die would do so in the way of Allah and become martyrs and enter paradise.”
When she got to Aleppo in Syria she was taken to an abandoned hospital. There she and other women were forced to have sex with multiple men under the context that it was ‘sex jihad.’ Underscoring the international nature of the rebel groups in Syria, she said she slept with Pakistanis, Afghanis, Libyans, Tunisians, Iraqis, Saudis, and Somalis. She was also beaten, abused, and stated that one woman who tried to escape was tortured until she died from her wounds.
In other words, factions in the FSA are conducting human sex trafficking and justifying it was part of the jihad. Instead of participating in a holy struggle and being shown respect she was forced to do things that “contradict all sense of human worth.” She was eventually released and allowed to return to Tunisia. Once home, she went to her doctor and found out that not only was she pregnant, both she and her child are infected with the aids virus. Considering the Saudis conduct human sex trafficking in the United States, I guess its not any surprise the same thing is happening in Syria. Its just another example of the ‘paragons of virtue’ that President Obama, Senator John McCain, and the rest of the progressives are chomping at the bit to support.
