Too Hot To Be a Politician...

Maaaan, Persian chicks are hot. Too bad biblically speaking their people, culture and country is doomed...

Nina Siakhali Moradi: too sexy to lead. Photo: Facebook

Iranian Politician Deemed Too Pretty to Hold Office

Iranian politician Nina Siakhali Moradi epitomized the promise of more civil rights for the country’s women when she won her bid as an alternate to the Qazvin City Council earlier this summer. But now she’s had her election overturned by religious conservatives, who have basically barred her from office for being too hot.

“We don't want a catwalk model on the council,” balked an unnamed senior official in Qazvin, according to a report in the Times of London.

But the official reason, as explained to the news agency IranWire by Seyed Reza Hossaini, Qazvin’s representative in Parliament and a review board member, was, “Her votes have been nullified due to her disqualification, as the review board did not approve her credentials. We have told her the reason why she has been disqualified.”

Still, Iran’s judiciary and intelligence services had originally granted approval (as is the system) to Moradi’s candidacy in Qazvin, the ancient capital of the Persian empire, about 100 miles from Tehran. The 27-year-old architecture grad student ran under the slogan “Young ideas for a young future” and was committed to fighting for improved rights for both women and youth.

During her campaign, conservative groups complained about Moradi’s “vulgar and anti-religious posters,” the Times reported, adding that the reason given for her disqualification was that she wasn’t “observing the Islamic norms.”

Moradi’s run was most likely approved in the first place because “they probably didn’t think she had any chance,” a spokesperson from the New York-based International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran told Yahoo! Shine. Then, when she gained momentum because of her popularity with young adults, receiving 10,000 votes, the officials were taken off-guard, leaning on the vague “Islamic code of dignity” as a way to ban her from office.

“They don’t like the fact that she doesn’t belong to any political party, because they don’t welcome an independent voice,” the spokesperson (speaking on behalf of the campaign’s executive director, Hadi Ghaemi) added. “The story has gone viral, and there’s been a lot of noise inside the country, and it’s likely that they’ll reverse the decision due to public pressure and embarrassment.”

The campaign, a nonprofit organization that aims to amplify Iranian human-rights struggles on an international stage, has posted news of Moradi’s ouster on its Facebook page, eliciting an outcry from readers.

“It’s because of their sick mentality that they have a problem with a beautiful creature of God,” one commenter posted in Farsi (as translated for Yahoo! Shine by the campaign). Another mused that her displacement “is definitely about her not using a chador,” referring to the traditional head-to-toe black robe traditionally worn by women, while yet another fired off, “These anti-beauty people just want everyone to be ugly and dirty, like themselves.”

A female politician chastised by opponents because of her looks? That sounds familiar. Hilary Clinton has been called everything from “shrill” to a “b----”; when she ran for president, nutcrackers were made with her likeness, and a rally heckler once yelled out, “Iron my shirt!” In Australia, former Prime Minister Julia Gillard was accused of being “deliberately barren” and therefore “wooden” by male colleagues. French housing minister Cécile Duflot was forced to ignore whistles and catcalls while speaking before the national assembly.

In Iran, Moradi spoke out about the decision to unseat her, telling local media, “Almost 10,000 people voted for me, and based on that I should be the first alternate member of the City Council,” according to the Independent.

Mohammed Olaiyehfard, a legal expert in Qazvin, told the Independent of London that the contradiction from officials was a problem. “If someone breaks the law during the election, the review board and election committee can review the individual’s actions. But when the results have been announced, they cannot nullify the results. For this reason, it is illegal for the election review board to disqualify someone who had initially been qualified to run and then later won the election. It seems that this is a pretext in order to create an obstacle in order for this individual to not be able to join the Qazvin City Council.”

The story is blowing up not long after Iran’s new president, Hassan Rowhani, pledged to fight for women’s civil rights.

“Women work but don’t enjoy equal rights,” he had said in a pre-election debate. “I will form a women’s affairs ministry to return their trampled rights to them.”

California Considers Punishing Youth Groups Against Homosexuality as ‘Bathroom Bill’ Becomes Law

SACRAMENTO – On the same day that the governor of California signed a bill into law mandating that boys who identify as girls be allowed to use girls’ bathrooms and vice versa, a California committee approved legislation which would cause any non-profit organizations that do not embrace homosexuals to lose tax-exempt status.
Senate Bill 323 (SB323) was first introduced in mid-February by Ricardo Lara, a Democratic state senator from Los Angeles. Lara is himself an open homosexual, as well as a member of the California Legislative LGBT Caucus. According to the bill’s introduction, SB323 would “provide that an organization that is a public charity youth organization that discriminates on the basis of gender identity, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or religious affiliation is not exempt from [state taxes].”
Later in the legislation, approximately 25 youth organizations are specifically listed as entities that would have to embrace these “gender identity” and “sexual orientation” guidelines, or else lose their tax-exempt standing. Little League, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Young Men’s Christian Association, Young Women’s Christian Association, Future Farmers of America, Future Homemakers of America, 4-H Clubs, Boys’ Clubs, and Girls’ Clubs are all included.
On Monday afternoon, California’s Committee on Revenue and Taxation held a hearing on SB323, and eventually approved the legislation by a 6-3 vote. Now the bill moves forward to the Committee on Judiciary.
Proponents of SB323—commonly referred to as the “Anti-Boy Scouts Bill”—herald the legislation as a long-overdue measure to end unfair discrimination in many organizations. John O’Conner of Equality California said the bill would “make it clear … that discrimination has a real cost,” and Senator Lara described his bill as a means to end organizations’ “outdated practices.”
“Our state values the important role that youth groups play in the empowerment of our next generation,” Lara stated. “This is demonstrated by rewarding organizations with tax exemptions supported financially by all Californians. SB323 seeks to end the unfortunate discriminatory and outdated practices by certain youth groups by revoking their tax exemption privilege should they not comply with our non-discrimination laws.”
However, a news release from Lori Arnold of the California Family Alliance argued that the “Anti-Boy Scouts Bill” is both self-contradicting and unconstitutional.
“The irony of the proposed law,” Arnold wrote, “is that its blatant use of extortion—by holding nonprofit groups financially hostage—instills its own form of discrimination by trampling individual and organizational religious beliefs by labeling them ‘outdated practices,’ practices that are protected by the First Amendment.”
Similarly, Matthew McReynolds of the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) stated that “the bill’s imposition of ‘gender identity’ acceptance on virtually all youth sports in California is untenable and out of step with the reasonable privacy expectations,” and also “establishes a gender-blind scheme that most parents believe to be absurd.”
On the very same day as the SB323 committee hearing, California Governor Jerry Brown signed AB 1266 into law—a bill that allows boys who identify as girls to use girls’ bathrooms at school, and vice versa. As previously reported, California lawmakers overwhelmingly approved the “Bathroom Bill” last month, even though the bill’s author—Democratic Assemblyman Tom Ammiano—admitted that the new measures will “perhaps” make some children “uncomfortable.”
“I don’t want to minimize that,” Ammiano said, according to the BBC, “but new experiences are often uncomfortable. That can’t be an excuse for prejudice.”
However, Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute, told Christian News Network that the enforcement of AB 1266 will lead to instances of “extreme violation of [students’] privacy,” with “horrendous” mental and emotional ramifications.
Dacus further said that both SB323 and AB 1266 are being driven by those who want non-traditional sexual behavior accepted and protected in every arena.
“The common motive,” he explained, “is to inoculate anyone who has any objection to homosexuality or transsexuality, and [both bills are] specifically targeting young people. The goal is to make transsexuality, cross-dressing, and homosexuality a cultural norm—not just as a matter of tolerance, but as a matter of socially-mandated acceptance.”
“It’s a massive demoralizing campaign which is being engaged in at the expense of countless young people who will be unquestionably impacted,” he said.

ADHD and other Fake Diseases...

Prominent psychiatrist admits he helped invent ADHD as a disease

(NaturalNews) Many vaguely understand that the American Psychiatric Association (APA) keeps making up diseases as they continue developing new issues of their DSM or Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Recently, a founding father of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), announced a few months before his death that ... "ADHD is a prime example of a fictitious disease."

After turning 87 years old, American psychiatrist Dr. Leon Eisenberg made this statement to the German weekly Der Spiegel on 2 February 2012. Seven months later, he died. Apparently, he had decided to come clean and confess before moving to the beyond.

Dr. Eisenberg was among the committee of psychiatrists who put together the DMS II in 1968. He had initially coined the term "hyperkinetic reaction of childhood," which was described and agreed upon by the committee and confirmed by a small percentage of APA members as a mental disorder. Later, the term was altered to the current ADHD.

Yet, there is no biological proof or test to determine exactly what chemicals are "out of balance" in the brain for ADHD or any other disorder. Most psychiatric drugs are unnecessary at least. And they have often caused suicide and homicide.

Then there are the milder adverse reactions that include feeling depressed or not like oneself and even physically out of sorts among those taking psychotropics for mental disorders created by committees.

An epidemic of pharmaceutical drug use is harming millions of kids

Since that DMS conference in 1968, Dr. Eisenberg's contribution to mental disease by invention and committee consensus has resulted in drugging millions of children from preschool age through high school.

It's currently estimated that up to 20% (one out of five) of children from nursery school and kindergarten through high school and in foster homes have been prescribed Ritalin.

Ritalin, commonly prescribed for kids "diagnosed" (labeled is more appropriate) with ADHD was tested a little over a decade ago by the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). The BNL study determined that Ritalin is pharmacologically similar to cocaine with perhaps even worse brain damaging potential.

Even the DEA's Office of Diversion Control classifies methylphenidate (RitalinR) as a Class II controlled substance with ... "a high potential for abuse which may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence."

Ritalin and other pharmaceutical psychotropic prescriptions are often enforced with threats of expulsion of those kids deemed inattentive or difficult to manage.

Parents, teachers, or foster home caretakers who are too busy to bother managing children with dietary changes or appropriate social management skills are easily convinced that these drugs offer solutions.

Meanwhile, the collusion of Big Pharma and psychiatry thrives with their DMS invented diseases, which legitimized government and private insurance funding for their bogus medical racket. You don't have to be well off to pay for a shrink anymore. Just make sure your coverage includes psychotropic drugs.

Psychiatrists with pharmaceutical ties comprised at least 68% of the DMS-V committee. Big Pharma pays psychiatrists to deliver seminars, act as consultants, or enroll their clients into final testing of new drugs.

Some receive up to $100,000. Big Pharma paid out $250 million for these and other professional services during the years 2009 and 2010. Dr. Irwin Savodnik, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry

at
UCLA School of Medicine, stated succinctly, "The very vocabulary of psychiatry is now defined at all levels by the pharmaceutical industry."

The widespread drugging of children with neurological damage potential puts normal kids in harm's way while creating psychological ignorance and dependence on a pseudo-scientific medical racket that's raking in billions.
